Air Light II
Light mountain paraglider
Description
The author of the idea is Bertrand Maddalena and it was brought to reality by our production plant in Kowalewo, under the watchful eye of Piotr Dudek himself. The wing itself weighs only 3.6 kg! Additionally you can buy a special harness, which doubles simultaneously as a backpack (again it was Bertrand's idea, but we carried it out). The full weight is only 4.4 kg!You love climbing. Sometimes you are really exhausted on reaching the top, but the splendid view is always worth it. You have been wondering many times at such moments how it would feel just to fly away, as do the birds over your head. You are jealous of their freedom and you think you deserve some reward for the effort of climbing. You already know how to fly a paraglider and can start independently; you can estimate the weather conditions and you are familiar with the unique features of mountain air. But this awful burden of a huge backpack with paragliding equipment cannot be taken everywhere, especially when you don't use the comfortable tourist paths. It is even more irritating when you can't fly and have to carry it all the way down. There are other situations where every kilogram counts, such as long-distance airline travel. You dream about a safe, recreational little wing, which doesn't have to be a cross-country shark, but should weigh less than 10 kg. Your friends joke: "at best below 5 kg, with harness and pack, eh!"
Here is some good news for you and your friends: such a little wing exists - it's called the Air Light.
You can buy it from Dudek France (Christophe Gonin "Les Chalettes", 38300 BADINIERES, France, tel. +33 (0) 677 11 71 13).
The risers are substituted with French Bainbridge lines International of 4 mm diameter. As the suspension lines we use Dyneema of 1.1, 1.3, 1.5 and 1.9 mm diameters.
