700 km in World Paramotor XContest
Thursday, 21 October 2010
International online paramotor XContest sees relentless fight this year. Recently an outstanding result was achieved by Mirosław Dyl, who on 13th October flew a FAI triangle over 700 km long. His trike was slung under always reliable Reaction.
Flight details are accessible at Paramotor World XContest site.
This year took place a fierce competition between Polish Mirosław Dyl (nicknamed as Calaar) and Austrian Thomas Tupi. With his last flight Calaar recovered first place and again leads both open and trike vategories. Thomas Tupi is following him closely with two triangles of over 600 km, yet with even shorter day and worsening weather it will be hard for him to beat Calaar again (classification ends on 31th December).
Paramotor World XContest is an international online tournament based on uploaded GPS tracks. There are four classes present: Open, Foot Launch (Waldemar Niemczuk in lead), Trike and Team. Recent achievement of Calaar allowed Poland to claim first place, followed by Austria and 20 other national teams.Dudek Paragliders is a general sponsor of this event (presenting paragliders as main prizes).
