FAI diploma for Armin

Armin Appel received prestigious FAI prize for 2009. Every year the FAI Microlight Committee (CIMA) awards Ann Welch Diploma for most significant of the apoproved world records. Last year it was Armin Appel, who on 28th September 2009 took his Reaction for a triangle of 343.6 km
Ann Welch was a long time publisher of the FAI bulletin, and influential person in succesful development of microlight, gliding and hanggliding sport. She was instrumental in establishing the CIMA committee and creating its Sporting code. Her prize is awarded since 2006.
