Intermediate paraglider

Opis

VOX - skrzydło pośrednie VOX is an intermediate wing. It was designed for pilots who, having acquired basic experience on recreational wings, now are loking for a paraglider that will let them safely move toward more advanced flying.

VOX is a very friendly wing. Take off is easy, and direct steering input is very reassuring in flight. The canopy feels rather on the rigid side.
VOX is perfectly suited to cross-country flying. The very next day after obtaining AFNOR/Standard certificate, a 16-year old Dudek Team pilot - Łukasz Chyla - flew a 51-km FAI triangle.

Since Poland is mainly a flat country, VOX was carefully tested at winch and with a paramotor.

Vox is the evolutionary successor of Vip - Polish most popular/best-selling intermediate paraglider from 1996 to 2000. Intorduced changes were based both on our observation of wings sent for periodical check and suggestions from pilots. After four years of Vip production we decided to introduce following improvements:
  • Vox's construction is based on a modern airfoil, which is a thicker version of the profile of our sports paraglider Max. Being thicker than that of Vip it is more safe and effective, being more symmetrical it is also faster.
  • When laid out flat, Vox has the same shape (and aspect ratio) as Vip, however in flight it is more curved, resulting in less sink while turning.
  • Total suspension lines length was reduced, thus reducing drag.
  • In Vox we used shorter suspension lines/risers (same as in sports model Max), featuring more efficient speed system.
  • In the highest level of the line system we resigned from Dyneema lines in favour of Technora. This solution is more expensive, but eliminates the problem of gradually increasing angle of attack caused by shortening Dyneema lines in less loaded rows (C and D).
  • Trailing edge is strengthened with tape - just as in the sports model Max.
  • The shape of reinforcements has been modified. Now they are slightly bigger and their edges are additionally hemmed with tape for better protection of the fabric coating (impregnation).

Speed range is similar to that of VIP, however max speed did grow some.

VOX is dedicated for:

  • Pilots, who, having acquired experience on recreational wings, would like to try their hand at flying a paraglider enabling cross country flights,
  • ambitious and talented pilots, who, having graduated from paragliding course and having acquired substantial experience on club equipment, would like to buy an intermediate paraglider, skipping recreational stage,
  • fledgling competitors, who would like to start taking part in competitions but with big safety margin,
  • recreational motoparagliding,
  • pilots living rather in a flat countryside who need an efficient winching paraglider.
