World Paramotor Championships 2009 Czech Republic
Sixth World Paramotor Championships took place in Czech Nove Mesto nad Metui, July 30th - August 9th 2009. It proved to be a very good competition in many aspects.
97 crews of 18 countries were present, with all four classes (PF1, PF2, PL1 and PL2) sufficiently manned to pronounce the results as valid. Good organisation on part of Czech Aeroclub as well as efficient system of publishing the results and tasks descriptions, based on an experimental intranet site by Richard Meredith-Hardy, allowed the competitors to focus purely on flying. Despite difficult weather conditions in second part of the Championships 13 tasks were successfully scored.
Dudek Paragliders team is pleased with the results. As usual, most of the participants chose to fly our paragliders - to be precise, 32 of them (that's 33%) trusted Dudek canopies. Among them were the medallists of ALL FOUR CLASSES:
-
PF1 class - gold medal - Michel CARNET (GBR) - Dudek Nucleon 31
-
PF2 class - silver medal - Aivaras AKRAMAS and Mindaugas SKRUODYS (LTU) - Dudek Reaction 29
-
PL1 class - gold medal - Tomasz KUDASZEWICZ (POL) - Dudek Nucleon 29
-
PL2 class - bronze medal - Piotr DUDEK i Dominik DUDEK (POL) - Dudek Synthesis Cabrio 46
